This course is the ultimate head-start for those wanting to build amazing yoga classes and facilitation careers while building lifelong friendships with other Yogis. Our course comes from Hatha Yoga lineage, Classical Yoga philosophy, Tantric and Kundalini teachings, Ayurveda’s understanding of health,  and contemporary sciences like Anatomy & Physiology.

The training is covered over 5 weekends, at our beautiful studio in the 2nd district of Vienna. Our journey together starts on 26th January in the evening with a Vedic Fire Ceremony and special gathering.The course will end on 26th February in the afternoon with a beautiful Graduation Ceremony.

Fully Yoga Alliance Certified RYT-200 Training

Gain your Yoga certification in Vienna! This is a Yoga Alliance certified RYT-200 Yoga Teacher training – meaning you can gain your certification and register as a RYT-200 Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance immediately upon graduation from your in-person studies in Vienna – qualifying you to teach yoga in gyms and yoga studios worldwide.

Prerequisites and What to Expect

Aligned with Yoga Alliance elevated standards, we require a minimum of one year of continuous and dedicated yoga practice, a good understanding of the English, and a dedication to study and practice.

We want to stress that this is a rich and intensive program, both for physical and emotional. To graduate, you will be required to attend all the hours, pass both written and teaching exams, but we will make sure that you do.

We teach Yoga as a healing discipline, not performance art. We like to say that we train Yoga Teachers, not Yoga Instructors (yes, there is a difference!), so if you would like to become one, we will be happy to have you.

What will you learn

Experience flowing yoga practice lead by our experienced lead trainer Himanshu, in the studio. You will be taught in Hatha style of yoga which can be modified or advanced to suit all levels of practice. Also experience restorative Yin Yoga classes.

Learn and practice powerful yogic Meditation Techniques, and gain the ability to share them through teaching.

  • Types of meditation to be covered : Breath Awareness, Trataka, Japa Mala, Chidakash Dharana, Vipasana, Mantra Meditation, Chakra, Metta Bhavana, Karuna, Sound healing meditation

  • Prana, breath and pranayama
  • The science and anatomy of pranayama
  • Pranic body and spiritual significance of pranayama
  • Types of pranayama you will practice in this course: Nadi Shodhana, kapalbhati, bhastrika, ujjayi, bhramari, surya bheda, brahmari
  • How to practice and teach pranayama

Our functional anatomy classes ensure an understanding of the key muscles and bones involved in asana practice and their associated health benefits and contraindications. Our anatomy module covers the following:

  • The basics:
    • Skeletal system, muscular system, connective tissue, nervous system, and movements of the major joints of the body
  • Functional anatomy: Concepts of functional anatomy and physiology related to movement.
  • Application of anatomical principles to yoga practice:
    • Mechanics of yoga asana
    • Healthy patterns of movement
  • Muscular and skeletal differences i.e. compression, tension, and proportion and orientation theory.
  • Study of different regions of the body: The foot, knee, hips, spine, and shoulder

This is a practical training designed to help you become a confident and effective Yoga teacher for all level of students.

  • Hatha Yoga: How to teach classes based on Hatha.
  • Principles of sequencing a Vinyasa Flow class
  • How to create your own sequences
  • How to teach a vinyasa flow class
  • Teaching practice: There will be a lot of opportunities for teaching practice. From day one, you will start teaching one-on-one and then progress to teaching larger groups towards the end of the course.
  • In addition, you will learn
    • Principles of demonstration.
    • Teaching styles and Qualities of a good yoga teacher.
    • Voice projection, floor presence, safety.
    • Hands-on adjustments
    • Ethics of a good yoga teacher and much more.
  • By the end of the course, you will be able to teach Hatha Yoga classes, Vinyasa flow class and mixed-level open yoga classes confidently.

During the course a series of inverted poses and new variations will be covered which focuses on safe and systematic steps towards practicing arm balancing and inversions that require strength, alignment and balance.

Discover the basics and wisdom of ancient science: Ayurveda.

At its core Ayurveda is an elemental science; it is based on the five elements – earth, water, fire, air, and space. Ayurveda explains how we as human beings, just as everything around us, is made out of these 5 elements. Out of these 5 elements, there are 3 groups of elements that are naturally drawn to each other, they are known as the doshas. In this talk, we will go into these concepts that make up the foundation of Ayurveda.

We will talk about how the doshas express in our bodies and how you can recognize them in yourself. Giving you a better understanding of your true nature and how to find balance as you walk your path in life.

Learn and practice simple yet profound Tantra techniques, for building a deeper connection to self, others and the universe.

Always a student, Madalina has completed over 1500 hours of Yoga trainings and her style is strongly influenced by the teachings of Tirumalai Krishnamacharya. She embraces the philosophy and ethics of yoga and designs her classes to her student’s specific needs.

Course FAQ

The Yoga we teach on our Yoga Teacher Training courses is an authentic ‘Vini’ flow – which connects Hatha Yoga postures in short flowing Vinyasa sequences. The Yoga taught draws from the Sri T Krishnamacharya lineage – a therapeutic and holistic approach to teaching the goal of which is to create healing and wellbeing in mind, body and breath. This builds a strong and authentic foundation for your teaching and practice, ensuring what you teach is safe and effective and from a legitimate source. We teach you how to deepen your own practice and give you the skills and knowledge to be able to teach all levels of Yoga with confidence and understanding.

We meet in beautiful Vienna for 5 weekends of practice, sequencing, and teaching, applying the theoretical knowledge and embodying it in practice. The training consists of in person classes over 5 weekends (including the exam/ceremony weekend) plus home assignments. An example of a daily schedule:

All our training comply with the Yoga Alliance guidelines. Upon successful completion of the training, you will receive a certificate, which makes you eligible to register with Yoga Alliance. 

Yoga Alliance is considered the international standard for yoga teachers and yoga schools worldwide. This certification will allow you to be recognized as a professional yoga teacher all around the world.

If you are unable to attend the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Vienna we refund all payments minus the 250 € Course Deposit. This payment can then be applied to any of of our in-person or online Yoga teacher training courses at a later date of your choosing. After the course end date, refund is not possible.
